CURRENT NEWS

March 2007 -- Severe Weather Awareness Week Set for April 9-13.
Governor Doyle has proclaimed April 9-13 as Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin.  The statewide tornado drill is scheduled for Thursday, April 12 at 1:30 pm.  All municipal tornado sirens will be sounded for the drill.  While Wisconsin had only 13 tornadoes in 2006, there were 62 documented tornadoes in Wisconsin in 2005.  The statewide drill poses an excellent opportunity to practice severe weather procedures with your family, or at work.  For more information, check out our severe weather page by clicking here.
